What is Invisalign?

How does Invisalign work?
Your dentist custom-creates Invisalign aligners to the shape and contours of your teeth. They do so by digitally scanning your teeth and sending the results to a dental lab. You simply wear the aligners for 20-22 hours daily, taking them out to brush your teeth, floss, and eat. Every week or two, you typically switch to another set of aligners in your series until you complete orthodontics treatment.
Treatment often lasts 6-18 months, but individualized treatment times vary from person to person.
After each treatment, you may wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their desirable alignment. Continue to take good care of your teeth by brushing after meals, flossing daily, and seeing your dentist at least every six months for routine cleanings and dental exams.
